Mark your calendars: May 3rd, 2025, we’re taking over Tower 56 in Newport Beach for something brand new — The Newport Jetty Classic.

This isn’t just another surf comp.
It’s a full-day celebration of surf culture, community, and that raw local energy that makes Southern California one of the greatest surf zones in the world.

AVVA has always stood for more than just clean designs and quality gear — we represent the people who live their lives between swells, streets, and sunsets. So teaming up with pro surfer and AVVA team rider Tyler Gunter, who’s Newport born-and-raised, just made sense.

Together, we’re launching a grassroots contest that’s equal parts competition and community fest. Whether you’re pulling into closeouts or just pulling up to hang, this one’s for you.
