KU CAMO BOARDSHORT

Designed and constructed to withstand the elements, AVVA Founder & professional surfer Kekoa Cazimero wanted to dig deep into the overall functionality and design of the Ku Camo Boardshorts. As a team, we wanted to take key components and features from our very first Boardshort we produced and elevate and evolve the overall design and detail. Above the knee mobility, water-resistant 4-way stretch material, and side seam zippers are just a few of the many details in this simple yet complex Boardshort. Overall performance and functionality was the foundation. Our Boardshorts consists of 95% polyester & 5% spandex. We've implemented 140gsm 4-way stretch fabric for a technical and high performance feel. We also added an extra velcro-closure pocket on the back of the Boardshort to give our ambassadors the option of utilizing that pocket or the hidden and stealthy side seam pocket. Both pockets contain key strings as an added bonus. The Ku Camo Boardshorts have a scallop bottom outline offering 18" length for a performance based above the knee mobility built for that everyday grueling workout or for any type of surf or water activity. Professional surfer Kekoa Cazimero truly put these Boardshorts to the test in 10-12 foot surf on the island of Oahu. When we take a closer look at the graphics and details, we've truly elevated the overall aesthetic of our Boardshort. "Ku", one of the four gods in Hawaiian mythology, translates into "god of war" so we took the design and development process on this camo print to another level. We took months going through multiple stages developing a custom Camo from scratch. If you take a closer look, each and every individual shape in the Ku Camo Boardshort is a Hawaiian Island. Oahu, Maui, Molokai'i, & Kaua'i, just to name a few, are stacked and layered to create a modern and meaningful Camo print. We took different shades of blue ocean water from the local beaches here in Hawaii that layer over one another as you look out to the horizon. A Boardshort truly inspired by the elements. Coated safety orange eyelets with matching pull tabs and aglets are the perfect subtle details and pop that take this Boardshort to the next level. We've added a 6" core AVVA logo hit to the right thigh and a 2" woven patch to the left thigh to add our personal signature on this complex and high performance Boardshort.
